Warnings: Letitia is, in her canon, both a devil and a member of a group known as the New Sequence. So there are two major warnings for player permission in regards to her:

1. Souls. Devils in Fallen London constantly try to seek out special souls so they might take them from people. This procedure (more politely called abstraction), while it can be done by force (i.e. spirifing), generally isn't by Letitia. She prefers to make it nice and legally enforceable, through the agreement of the other party (which creates an Infernal Contract), and ensure there's no way for the person whose soul she's getting to get it back without a fight. That isn't to say she won't try and schmooze her way into an agreement, but outside of schmoozing, let me know if you plan for your character to ultimately lose their soul to Leitita. Telling Letitia to back off of your soul will get her to back off from her attempts, though she won't be happy about it.

For those who do lose their souls, the biggest side effect is a dulling of emotions and inhibitions and morality (since those all tie together, you know). Good posture also tends to fall by the wayside, so be prepared to slouch more. Also, the primary means of getting your character's soul back is to regain the Infernal Contract that was drawn up to take the soul to begin with - possession is 9/10 of the Law, after all. Once the Infernal Contract is regained, Letitia would be forced to return the soul.

2. Brainwashing. The New Sequence is basically a cult dedicated to an inborn, incomplete clockwork abomination called the Dawn Machine. Exposure to the light of the Dawn Machine in any form can brainwash even the most rational person into a die-hard fanatic dedicated to fully realizing the Dawn Machine's existence as The Ruler Of The Universe. This can either happen instantaneously or gradually; the latter is generally how it will work in-game, courtesy of the Element of Dawn Letitia possesses. (Unless you really want it to be near-instant, but...)

Brainwashing has some unique side effects. Outside of making the character more and more inclined to try and replace the laws of the universe with THE SUN THE SUN THE SUN, characters will gain bright, sunburst-and-amber colored irises in later stages, and possibly even streaks of white hair depending on whether they were terrified in any way during the ordeal of exposure. The brainwashing can be lifted, through strong magic and power (like the influence of another god, but in-game elements can be used as well), but the changed eyes and white hair are permanent.

In other words, its basically all player permission here - Letitia, like with souls, ICly doesn't just bring anyone into the New Sequence. Plus, again, some permanent side effects even if the brainwashing is lifted.

Spoilers:Fallen London is super lore-heavy. Certain late-game spoilers in particular are known to Letitia, so if you don't want your characters to learn this stuff because you're playing it, then you can opt out here!
